This is what you would call a northern Michigan marriage proposal.

WOOD TV reports Devin Huber from Au Gres decided to propose to his girlfriend of three years, but he took a non-traditional route.

Huber used his family's farm to cut "MARRY ME" into the wheat field, which is visible from the air, which is exactly how his girlfriend saw it.

Huber took his girlfriend on a plane ride in West Branch, where she grew up, and on the way back home she saw the message waiting for her.

Of course she said YES! The couple is planning an August 2017 wedding.

Huber told WOOD TV that it took him only two hours to plow the message.
