Michigan Department Of Transportation Announces New Projects For West Michigan
Spring and summer bring better driving conditions to West Michigan (we hope) but that doesn’t mean that travel is always going to be faster. The orange barrels will see to that.
M-11 (28th Street): A $1.3 million investment to reconstruct the intersections of Byron Center and Ivanrest avenues in the city of Wyoming.
US-131: A $3.5 million investment to restore the bridge over the CSX Railroad near Pleasant Street in Grand Rapids.
Ottawa County – As part of the new M-231 corridor
I-96: A $7.5 million investment to replace the 112th Avenue bridge over I-96 and widen it to four lanes, reconstruct the existing ramps, reconfigure the Cleveland Street/Apple Drive intersection, and add a new westbound I-96 entrance ramp. A new eastbound I-96 exit ramp is planned for 2013.
M-104: A $4.7 million investment to reconstruct and widen 1.3 miles of M-104 from west of 124th Avenue east to I-96.
