Instead of writing a traffic ticket, a Michigan cop decided to pay it forward to a father in need.

Newly minted Officer Joshua Scaglione of the Westland Police Department recently stopped Lavante Dell for his tinted windows. But during their conversation, Joshua noticed that Lavante’s three-year-old daughter was sitting in the vehicle without a car seat.

When Joshua asked Lavante why his daughter was not in a car seat, Lavante confessed that he couldn't afford to buy one.

So, Joshua took Lavante to the nearest Walmart store and used his own cash to purchase the child seat, turning a dark day into a very bright one.

Lavante was later able to thank Joshua for the kind gesture, but admitted that he didn’t think a simple thank you was enough.
