Wednesdays are my favorite days here at Channel 95.7, because the Humane Society of West Michigan stops by and brings me a new animal to fall in love with.

Today, Trudy Ender from the Humane Society brought in Socco, and I'm pretty sure everyone in the office immediately fell in love with him.

Socco is a five-month-old Terrier mix. He came from Alabama, where an overabundance of dogs means that many dogs end up being put down. The Humane Society of West Michigan didn’t want that to happen, so they accepted Socco, and a bunch of other dogs, in hopes many pet lovers will adopt them.

On Friday, the Humane Society is having a Spooktacular Adoption Day with special low pricing for all dogs. Cats and small critters are name your own price.

You can get all the information on adopting and Socco by visiting the Humane Society's website or call (616) 453-8900.
