Meet Poppy – Wendy’s Pet Of The Week
This week, Trudy Ender, Executive Director of the Humane Society, dropped by with Poppy!
Poppy is a Pit Bull/terrier mix. She’s a little over a year old, affectionate, playful, would definitely make a great addition to your family. Trudy did say that because she’s still a puppy, Poppy would fit a family with children who are six-years-old and older. She would also benefit from taking a puppy class.
You can call call for information anytime, 616-453-8900, or check out the Humane Society’s website.
Trudy also announced something really cool going on at the Humane Society. They have been chosen as one of the 50 finalists for the ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge. The Challenge is a national competition to inspire animal shelters—and those who support them—to go above and beyond to increase pet adoption, reunite lost pets with their families and save more animals’ lives. It will kick off in June and run through August, and the Humane Society of West Michigan is hoping to find homes for 901 pets during that time.
