Meet Mufasa – Christine’s Pet of the Week!

Mufasa is a 3-year-old Staffordshire Terrier Mix who was a transfer into the Humane Society of West Michigan. He is sweet and snuggly but he also is energetic which is why he would do well with someone who somewhat lives an active lifestyle and be able to keep up with his energy. But once he's done with his walk, Mufasa will relax and cuddle with you. The perfect dog!

Mufasa [Christine George/Townsquare Media][/caption]The entire month of February, the Humane Society of West Michigan is doing a Valentine's Special called Every Kiss Begins with Canine. All adult dogs, 5 months and up, will only cost you $75... which means you're saving $100! In addition to the special, the shelter also offers discounts on training classes for your dog. They also have a program called Argus Alliance which offers additional rebates on obedience training if your dog is unfortunately classified as a "bully dog." On Thursday, 2/4 from 5-7 p.m., 616 Lofts (on the corner of Michigan and Eastern) will be holding a Michigan Made Mixer in conjunction with the Humane Society of West Michigan and Hello West Michigan. This event is for people and their pets and anyone interested in finding out more about 616 Lofts. This is a great opportunity to learn more about a pet-friendly community. There will also be on-site adoptions samples from Fido & Stitch, dog training services from A Pleasant Dog and, of course, food and drinks. You can find out more about the event, here.
