Wednesdays are my favorite days here at Channel 95.7 because every Wednesday I get to make a new friend from the Humane Society of West Michigan!

Maya is a sweet, well-mannered, beautiful four-year-old Rottweiler looking for a good home.

Although a versatile dog breed used in recent times for many purposes, the Rottweiler is one of the oldest of herding breeds.

The Rottweiler is good-natured, placid in basic disposition, very devoted, obedient, biddable and eager to work.

Jen from the Humane Society of West Michigan brought Maya into the studios. Maya has been spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and socialized, and is ready for adoption.

You can get all the information on Maya and adopting, by visiting the society’s website or call (616) 453-8900.

Jen also mentioned that March 30 is the Humane Society's annual fundraising party, Paws, Claws & Corks! It begins at 6 p.m. in the Steelcase Ballrooms of DeVos Place, 303 Monroe Avenue NW in Grand Rapids. It features live and silent auctions, with food and wine sampling from 12 local restaurants.
