Every week, the folks from the Humane Society of West Michigan stop by with a new furry friend to be named as Wendy’s Pet Of The Week. Every week I can’t wait to see who they’ll bring to visit, and this week my new friend came bounding into my office to say hello.

This week, Nicole from the Humane Society, dropped by with Marvin!

Marvin is an adorable, affectionate little guy. He's a 5-month-old Staffordshire Terrier mix, in search of a new home. He's still a puppy, so he needs to learn some more manners, but Nicole said he's very "food motivated" and would be very easy to train.

Nicole also pointed out that the Humane Society is in need of some in-kind donations in preparation for kitten and puppy season. Every spring, the Humane Society gets an influx of kittens and puppies and there are things that they need to help take care of them. Right now, they're in need of cans of wet kitten food and rawhide bones for the dogs at the shelter.

You can find out more about Marvin, and donating in-kind items on the Humane Society's Website, or by calling them at 616-453-8900.
