Wednesdays are my favorite days of the week. Why? Because that's when the folks from the Humane Society of West Michigan stop by with a new furry friend for me!

This week, Tammy from the Humane Society brought Lillie in the visit me!

Lillie is a 3-year old American Rex rabbit. The Rex Rabbit is a breed of rabbit developed in France in 1919, and they make wonderful pets for people and families that love rabbits. The Rex Rabbit can be housed outdoors year-round in warmer climates as well as in cooler climates if the correct accommodations are made. Tammy pointed out that rabbits make great "starter" pets, and are great for teaching children how to properly care for animals.

You can get all the information on Lillie and adopting, by visiting the Humane Society's website or by calling (616) 453-8900.

Tammy also mentioned that the Humane Society will be holding another adoption event in February. They're still hammering out the details, but once they've determined what the specials will be, they'll have the information available on their website.

Tammy also mentioned that their annual fundraiser, Paws, Claws & Corks is coming up March 30th at DeVos Place.
