This week's installment of Wendy's Pet Of The Week is one of the cutest yet! In fact, Lexie and Marty, the two-month-old chihuahua/dachshund mixes almost didn't make it out of our offices! Everyone here fell in love with them, and I'm sure you will, too!

Nicole Cook from the Humane Society of West Michigan brought Lexie and Marty in. Lexie and Marty are brother and sister, small, cuddly, and would make a great addition to any home.

Remember the "Wipe Out Our Shelter" event the Humane Society held this past weekend? Well, thanks to all of you, it was a huge success! They adopted out over 90 animals!

Nicole also gave us some tips for keeping our pets cool and comfortable during this crazy heat we're having here in West Michigan. She says that we should limit our pet's time outside, make sure that they have access to plenty of water throughout the day, and of course, you should never EVER leave a pet in a car on these hot days (or ever).
