Bluegrass is a 2 year old Staffordshire Terrier Mix and is at the Humane Society of West Michigan waiting for his new home.

He's got limited vision, but that doesn't get in the way of him being a great companion. He's what you would describe as a big dog with lots of love to give. His limited eyesight doesn't stop him from being affectionate, playful and super cute! Tuesday was National Pet Day and while we celebrate our love for animals, it's also important to pay extra attention to those animals who may not get it often, such as Bluegrass.

I promise you won't be disappointed with your decision to adopt Bluegrass... just look at his sweet face!

The kids may be back in school after having spring break off, but before you know it they will be out for the summer. Registration for Summer Camps at the Humane Society of West Michigan is now open. Sessions begin June 19th and last through August. Half & full day sessions will be available. If you're interested in signing your kid(s) up you can check out the different camp descriptions here.

Finally, save-the-date for April 29th because its the first "Empty the Shelter" of the year. Twice a year, the BISSELL Pet Foundation takes care of all adoption fees at animal shelters around Michigan, including the Humane Society of West Michigan. The goal is to get as many animals adopted as possible!
