To make your life less complicated, the meat industry has renamed many meats. What the heck?

Yesterday both the industries for pork and beef got the go ahead from the USDA to rename a bunch of cuts of meat. They say it is because under the current system that many of the meats are named things that are difficult to understand.

One of the biggest changes coming our way is the renaming of pork chops. They will now be called New York Chops or Rib Eye Chops. A butt roast has also been renamed to a Boston Roast.

It actually seems like it will make less sense than it did before.
