'Mean Girls,' the satirical look at high school from 2004, is the latest film to get the 8-Bit Cinema treatment. It definitely has a lot of great, funny moments -- but none for Gretchen Wieners.

The CineFix video is four-and-a-half minutes long and is chock full of the best 'Mean Girls' references one can muster. The film has been appropriately remade as a Japanese dating sim/visual novel in which the player tries to make it through North Shore High as the protagonist, Cady Heron. As Cady, we see dialogue options open up when speaking to characters, branching paths in the exploration of the school and its grounds and even an inventory menu in which she keeps key items from the movie. like Damian's Pink Shirt and a Kalteen Bar.

What's even better than all of the recreated scenes from the movie is the 8-bit version of the soundtrack. Everything from Billy Idol's "Dancing with Myself" to Blondie's "One Way or Another" is given the chiptune treatment, faithful to the movie's soundtrack.
