Authorities in Duncan, British Colombia, responded to a serious car accident where driver Andrew MacDonald, blacked out and hit a pole with his 1993 Honda Accord.

Because of the extensive damage to the car, emergency responders had to resort to using the Jaws of Life to revieve MacDonald, The Times-Colonist reported.

In situations like this police and emergency responders usually try and keep the victim conscious and not to have them panic.

However, with MacDonald, they didn't have to worry. He decided to shoot a selfie video of himself being rescued.
