The birth of a child is an exciting time in a (new) parent's life and this newly father was so excited he didn't want anything to stop him from witnessing the moment.

A man from Utah is facing terrorism charges for making a bomb threat against the hospital his wife was giving birth in. The incident happened in September and 26-year-old Michael Morlang has been in jail since, reports Fox 13.

Morlang was in Idaho when his wife was scheduled to have her C-section; and when he realized he wouldn't make it in time, for the birth, he reported a false bomb threat to delay the process. Because of this, the hospital was evacuated and on lockdown for several hours, surgeries were postponed, and patients were sent to other hospitals. The fiasco ended up costing the hospital about $100,000.

The sad father now faces up to 10 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000. He told the news station that he did what he did "out of love."

“It's the first thing that popped into my head, it was like, ‘They can't have the surgery if she's not in the hospital..."

In the end, his daughter was already born when the threat was made and he still has yet to see her.

I almost feel bad for this guy.
