Man Attacks Couple With A Wrench Because They Dyed Their Dog Pink – Wendy’s Douche Of The Day

Washington County Sheriff’s Department

Now, I don’t necessarily condone people dying their pets weird colors, but I don’t really think that it’s an offense that warrants beating them with a wrench. However, Oregon resident George Mason, Jr. doesn’t seem to agree with my stance on pet dying, and that is how he earned himself the title of “Wendy’s Douche Of The Day“.

David Beltier and his boyfriend, Jeremy Mark, were out minding their own business, walking their poodle, Beauty, whom they had just dyed pink, when a man pulled up next to them in a truck, jumped out, and then attacked David. The couple say that they were targeted because of the color of their dog.

Apparently, George Mason, Jr. started yelling out homophobic slurs, and also asserted,

Your poodle is a weird color and that’s just un-American.

I had no idea that the color of one’s dog was a reflection of their patriotism, but George seemed to think so. He hit David with his hand, and then pulled a wrench out of the truck and struck him on the back of the head. Then he sped off.

Luckily, some on-lookers who do not judge people by the color of their dog, took down George’s license plate number and authorities were able to track him down.
