Man Arrested Over Stealing 5 Cents Worth of Electricity
Last month, a man was charged with stealing five cents.
Why? When he went to pick up his son at a Chamblee, Ga., middle school, he plugged his Nissan Leaf electric car in.
The man, who was watching his son play tennis, said the car was plugged in for about 20 minutes. According to Nissan, that’s about five cents worth of power.
Within the 20 minutes he watched the tennis match, a police officer appeared and said the man was stealing power from the school.
The man was later arrested for the alleged theft and formally charged.
What do you think? Crazy or justified?
