What is your New Year's resolution?  I know, that question is a bit cliche`, but I love the idea of a fresh start, and a solid plan to get it going.  Let's talk...

What is it you want to achieve this year? Lose weight? Find a new job? Live more in the moment? Spend more time with your kids? Go back to school? Take action on your 2014 plan?  Let me first say this, making a new year's resolution is not stupid, I believe to make progress positively through life we all need goals. They don't have to be huge goals, but we all need something in the big picture that drives us.

I found this AWESOME website through Reddit a few weeks ago that allows you to print out a plan for 2015.  It's from YearCompass.com, and it's free. You print out this booklet and fill out the different exercises that help you to reflect on 2014, and put your goals together for 2015. The website calls for you to do this alone, and then discuss it with friends. Imagine filling this out today, and then reflecting on everything you wrote this time next year!

Honestly, I can't think of a better way to spend part of my evening.  I'm a firm believer in having a plan and working toward that plan.

I hope you have an amazing evening tonight, and I hope you get to rise above any challenges from 2014 and totally own 2015.  Remember, if you want it bad enough you will find a way to get it.

I'm going to leave you with words from an e-mail I received today from author Robin Sharma:

"Today, you've been blessed with a gift -- a fresh, pristine and gorgeous New Year.
The limits of the past no longer can shackle you.
Old fears need not frighten you.
Who you were last year doesn't define who can be this year.

You see, you have a strength and power within you that longs to awaken now.
You have more bravery than you know.
More wisdom than you imagine.

My prayer for you -- and those you love -- is that you rise in 2015.
Rise to meet all challenges with a peaceful heart.
Rise above mediocrity in hot pursuit of mastery.
Rise to live the life of your childhood dreams.
You deserve no less."

Happy New Year!

-Josh
