We're knocking on the door of October, which means Halloween is around the corner, so how about some scary places to visit in Michigan?

They're not hard to find thanks to this post from OnlyInYourState.com, which features places like Reynolds Cemetery in Jackson where spirits of the murdered are said to roam the grounds. There's also the abandoned town of Fayette, a true ghost town! Or you can go about an hour south to Kalamazoo to the Henderson Castle, a bed and breakfast said to be haunted by the original owners.

I want to focus a bit more on the number one pick from this website, the Traverse City State Hospital. Yes, an abandoned mental institution which has partially been reconstructed to condos and shops.

This place is CREEPY! When I lived near Traverse City, a friend and I explored the grounds around the buildings that haven't yet been reconstructed, we had an eerie feeling the entire time. We actually snapped a photo of something that looked like a face.

I spotted it in the bottom row of windows, second from the right. Here it is zoomed in.

I'm not saying it is or isn't, I'm just saying what it appears to be to me, a face!

There you have it, looking to freak yourself out this fall? Check out some of these places!
