Cities all over the world are looking for big thrills to entice people to visit, and the latest trend are permanent glass “skywalks.”

Starting the trend was the Grand Canyon that created a bridge that juts out over the main canyon, which opened in 2007, Canada also has a bridge that is 900 feet above a glacier in Jasper National Park.

Chicago (though it is not a bridge) installed a glass deck over the edge of the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower. Now Hunan, China is added to the list with a 984-foot bridge that is now the longest glass bridge in the world.
