Lance Armstrong is the worst boyfriend on the planet. I mean, why anyone would date him when he has a history of being a big, fat liar is beyond me, but then he does something like this.

Armstrong hit two parked cars in Colorado back in December, left the scene, and then let his girlfriend take the blame for it.

According to the Aspen Daily Times, Armstrong was driving home from an Aspen Art Museum party on the December 29, when he hit two parked cars. His girlfriend, Anna Hansen, later told police that she was driving the car and was unaware that it is illegal to leave the scene of an accident.

Here's what Hansen told police according to the Aspen Daily Times,

As she drove through the West End, she lost control of the vehicle and struck the parked cars on West Francis Street, she told police. Hansen then went around a corner, returned on foot and spoke to the homeowner, telling him she’d pay for the damage. Hansen and Armstrong were not injured.

“Hansen added that she believed that she completed her legal obligation after providing her information to [the homeowner],” Magnuson wrote. “I informed Hansen that she was required to immediately notify the police of an accident and return to or remain at the scene. Hansen told me that she was unaware of this law.”

Hansen told police that Armstrong had had too much to drink, so she drove them home. She also stated that she had not been drinking.

Police didn't quite buy the story, so they spoke to the valet at the St. Regis Aspen Resort who in told the investigator, "that he recognized Lance Armstrong and Anna Hansen. He told me that he assisted Hansen to the passenger side of the GMC, and Armstrong entered the driver’s side and drove away from the St. Regis.”

When asked why she initially lied and if Armstrong had told her to lie, Hansen told investigators, "No, that was a joint decision, and, um, you know we’ve had our family name smeared over every paper in the world in the last couple of years and honestly, I’ve got teenagers, I just wanted to protect my family because I thought, ‘Gosh, Anna Hansen hit some cars, it’s not going to show up in the papers, but Lance Armstrong hit some cars, it’s going to be a national story.’”

Armstrong has been issued two traffic citations related to the incident and is due in court on March 17. Police did not file charges against Hansen.
