Kid Rock Wants to Film Video in Prison, MDOC Says ‘No’

Kid Rock is ready to mingle with the ladies at the Huron Valley Correctional Facility in the southwest part of the state, the department of corrections doesn't think that's the best idea.

The concert would be filmed for a Kid Rock music video, but the Michigan Department of Corrections denied the request due to "a host of security issues."

The department of corrections communications director tells the AP (via WOOD TV-8) that building a concert stage could lead to pieces being unaccounted for, and weapons being made from these pieces.

MDOC is considering allowing Kid Rock to film in a vacant prison in Standish.
