Do you have one of those “OLD SCHOOL” televisions around your house?  It’s hard to get rid of them, right?! Well right now, if you’re a Kent County resident, you can get rid of that bulky old eye-sore for FREE!

Between now and September 30th, Kent County is offering free recycling for the old standard definition TVs and computer monitors.  Normally the cost to recycle the old televisions/monitors are between $15 and $60 dollars, but because of manufacturer donations, you can unload the electronics for free.

Where do you take the old TVs or computer monitors, you’re asking?  Good question, you can drop them off at one of three locations:

  • North Kent Transfer Recylcing Center at 2908 10 Mile Road in Rockford
  • The Kent County Recycling and Education Center at 977 Wealthy Street SW in Grand Rapids
  •  South Kent Landfill at 10300 South Kent Drive in Byron Township.

((And yes, that TV is currently sitting in my office....but not much longer!))
