Last month, some Grand Rapidians were trolled into thinking Jim Carrey was moving to Grand Rapids.

Now it's time for the good people of Ann Arbor to realize that you can't believe everything you read on the Internet...

Justin Timberlake is not moving to Ann Arbor. It's a big, fat lie circulating on social media that was first reported by a fake news site.

KUPR 7 News claims Timberlake is ditching Hollywood for Ann Arbor. He's even quoted as saying.

“I’m just tired of the L.A. lifestyle and the fake people, honestly, and I feel like, at this point in my life, I’d rather just live in a place full of real, genuine people. I’ve been to Ann Arbor a few times over the years and the people there are real… they’re genuine people, and yeah every community has its problems but the people there are good, decent people and they care about their community. Those are the things I find most important in deciding where to live. ”

If that sounds familiar, that's because it's the exact article that was posted about Jim Carrey moving to GR on a site called KNP 7 News.

Wow. The sites look really similar, huh? And turns out, they're both fake.

The sites both have disclaimers in their about section:

KNP 7 News is a fantasy news site.  All news articles on knp7.com are satire or pure fantasy."

KUPR switches it up a bit and says "most aritcles on kupr7.com are satire or pure fantasy"... Yeah, I'm willing to bet this JT moving to Ann Arbor story falls in that category.
