This really is like a real life Dumbo story!

After a baby elephant, Me-Bai, was taken from her mother in 2011 and sold to give rides to tourists in Thailand, she was reunited with her mother over the weekend.

The stress and trauma from carrying tourists made poor Me-Bai too weak to carry them, so she was freed and sent to Elephant Nature Park in northern Thailand for their Pamper A Pachyderm program.

The folks at the Elephant Nature Park set out to find Me-Bai's mother, and located her in another village. So, Me-Bai and some volunteers set out on a 3-day journey to the town where her mother's owners live.

This is the video to witness the minute of reunion Mebai - Mae Yui mother and daughter who separated for many years....

On Friday, Me-Bai and her mother, Mae Yum, were finally reunited. And it's clear from their reactions that they were so excited to be together again.
