Josh’s Afternoon Jam: Coldplay ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’ [VIDEO]

As far as the song goes, not what I expected from Coldplay. As far as the video goes, this is how I imagine a party on Planet of the Apes.

Everyone I've talked to about Coldplay's Adventure of a Lifetime has had mixed reviews. I think that's the typical opinion of Coldplay though, either you really like what they've released or you really dislike it.

I happen to really like this song. I love the vibe, it's upbeat and, after seeing the video, kind of fun. It's an encouraging song. To me it's about coming out of the darkness we all find ourselves in at some point. It's about coming out of that and being inspired to live.

In the song Chris Martin refers to a "her" waking him up. That "her" could really be anything that inspires you. It could be an actual person, the idea of a person, an event, a higher power, "she" could be anything that brings you out of your funk and back to life.

Crank it up, enjoy, and don't be jealous that the apes have such awesome dance moves.
