I've been reading all of the stuff coming out about Josh Duggar's past of being a sexual predator (I'm just calling it how I see it), and upon reading his "apology", I became completely enraged.

Why? Because it isn't an apology at all!!!

Let's break it down, shall we? In his apology we learned some things. We learned that his parents knew about what was going on (eventually), and instead of immediately reporting their eldest son to the authorities, they decided to talk to some people at their church, and then sent him to some reform program.

They knew for an entire year before finally sending him to an Arkansas State Trooper's house to have the man "talk" to Josh. Not so fun fact: that guy ended up, years later, being arrested for child pornography. Great role model.

But, the biggest thing about this so-called "apology" that sticks out to me is the closing line, "I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life."

It would ruin HIS life. His. Not the girls that he was molesting, his life. He didn't confess or stop doing these things (if he ever, truly, stopped) because he realized the affect that it was having on these young girls, he did it because he didn't want to end up ruining his life.

The worst part about all of this (either than the fact that it happened in the first place) is that he can't even been arrested and tried for these crimes due to statute of limitations issues. This man will continue to roam free, and be around children (he has three of his own, plus another on the way), as if he never did anything wrong.

This whole thing sickens me.
