Jessie J Sings John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ at New Years Eve Ball Drop

It's become an annual tradition for an artist to sing John Lennon's "Imagine" in front of the millions of people that gather each year for the New Years Eve ball drop in New York City. This year, that honor was bestowed upon Jessie J.

The "Flashlight" singer performed some of her hits, including "Domino," "Price Tag" and "Bang Bang" on stage in Times Square before leading the audience in a rousing sing-along to Lennon's peace-making classic.

The Times Square "Imagine" tradition began in 2005 when NYC event organizers would blast the song on speakers at the ball drop. As of 2010, "Imagine" is now sung live by an artist in Times Square. Past performers have included Taio Cruz and Cee Lo Green.
