First off, this is really intense and thankfully this man survived and was able to share his experience on YouTube.

On the surface it doesn't look like he did anything wrong. He was punted into oncoming traffic after getting rear-ended, right?

His mistake? Turning his front wheels in the direction he wanted to turn. This seemingly minor error almost cost him his life in this freak accident.

Remember driver's ed? I remember my class, and especially the defensive driving portion. The one tip they drilled into our heads was to always keep your wheels straight when you're stopped for a turn. This video is a solid example of why!
