'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' picks up almost exactly where the first film ended, with Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) embarking on a victory tour to celebrate their surviving the Hunger Games and to spread government propaganda and fear. This section of the book (and, we imagine, the movie) is fairly action-free, but still pretty harrowing. A new clip from the film shows that a couple of good actors in a room can be just as exciting as an action scene.

The newly revealed scene picks up in media res, so we don't know exactly what Katniss did wrong, who got hurt or why Haymitch (Woody Harrelson) is so mad -- unless you read the book -- but we do know that Panem's favorite fake lovebirds are on their tour and that someone screwed up ... badly. After all, you can't defy the will of a dystopian dictatorship in the first film and expect everything to smell like roses in the second. It's a quick scene that doesn't give us too much to work with, but it does serve as a helpful reminder that this franchise has done a terrific job of casting the right people in the right parts. Lawrence and Harrelson can make even the simplest moments shine.

'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' opens on November 22, 2013.
