Have you ever heard of the Michigan Dogman? It’s supposed to be a werewolf type beast. Legend has it that it was spotted in Wexford County in 1887. It was later turned into a independent film and some radio stations up north had fun with it in the 80s.
How about the Saugatuck Chain Ferry? It was built 1838 and is the only hand cranked ferry in the United States.
Our state had the first concrete paved roads (some haven’t been paved since HA!), and we were the first state to have phone numbers.
