This might be the worst Monday in the history of Mondays. I awoke this morning to my boyfriend saying, "Uhh, ... we have a problem. Jack got sprayed by a skunk."

Now, this is not the first time that my adorable, but not-so-bright dog has been sprayed. In fact, I think this may be the fifth time since we've had him that he's tried to play with a skunk and learned the consequences.

So, my day started by running to the Family Fare up the street to get peroxide, baking soda, Dawn dish soap, and tomato juice. (The lady that was bagging up my purchases knew immediately what all of the stuff was for, and also suggested using douche to get the smell off of him.

I spent a solid 45 minutes first dousing him in the peroxide/baking soda/dish soap mix, letting it sit, rinsing him, bathing him again, repeat, repeat and repeat.

And, I'm still not entirely convinced that I got all of the smell out of his face. I can't smell it anymore, but I can't really smell anything anymore.

I'm pretty sure that he still smells, I smell, my entire house smells, and everything I own smells.

I know the ways to get the smell off of him, and I know the way to get the smell out of my clothes, but how do I get the smell out of my house?!?

I was going to leave a couple of windows cracked with the ceiling fans on in hopes that that would help, but we weren't too comfortable with the idea of leaving the windows open when we aren't at home. But, that's pretty much the only idea that I've come up with so far.
