The Heritage Hill area in Grand Rapids has some amazing homes.  Some of those amazing homes are made even more spectacular by the landscaping that surrounds them.  This weekend the gardens of Heritage Hill are on display at the Fourth Annual Heritage Hill Garden Tour.

Heritage Hill is famous for its homes and was even named one of the best "old house" neighborhoods in the Midwest by "This Old House".

"This Old House" said:

The 1,300 homes here include some dating back to as early as 1844, and a remarkable array of styles is represented. You'll see everything from Italianate and Chateauesque houses to later Tudor Revivals; there's also a wealth of Greek and Colonial Revivals, Queen Annes, and even a Frank Lloyd Wright Prairie-style home.

"This Old House" was also impressed with the gardens of Heritage Hill they noting that "manicured gardens are celebrated here."  But don't take their word for it.  Take the tour Saturday and see the gardens for yourself.

The tour is self-guided and runs from 9am - 3pm on Saturday rain or shine.  A total of 12 gardens will be featured.  Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 on Saturday.
