Hurricane Irene is headed to the Eastern seaboard sometime tomorrow, most likely touching land around the Carolinas and heading northward from there.

Thousands of families and businesses are being evacuated today.
One thing we know for sure ... there will be devastation and hopefully only of debris and not people who were unable or unwilling to leave the area before the storm hits.
Earlier this week, I noticed that many American Red Cross chapters of  West Michigan communities like Muskegon have been gearing up with supplies to head out as soon as they have a definite destination.  How impressive that there are loving volunteers waiting to serve.  That America has organizations like the Red Cross with volunteers eager to leave his or her community to help a brother or sister in another!
What can you do to help?  If you're not a trained ARC volunteer already you can either sign-up for classes or you can contact any ARC branch and offer to donate blood, money or drop off much needed supplies.  Please click here to find out how you can support those in need today.
