If you've been sleeping on Taylor Swift's version of "Riptide" by Vance Joy, then someone needs to dump an entire bucket of ice water on your life and wake you up. We love it, it's so good, Taylor's a star, we know all of these things to be true. And lucky for us, Vance Joy decided to return the favor by covering Taylor's super-moody "I Know Places."

It's a decidedly less haunting version of the song, but it really benefits from Vance's stripped-down vocals, accompanied only by a guitar. Vance's interpretation of the song is more somber than the original, which has a more frantic energy. This version makes its subjects sound a little more resigned to their fate. You can check out the full version in the video above.

Vance's cover comes at just the right time. The singer-songwriter is set to join Taylor Swift on her 1989 tour this summer, which kicked off last night in Tokyo. Speaking of which, if you're a huge fan of Taylor's older work -- back when she was a country singer who grew up on a Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania -- you should probably pawn your tickets off on some Twitter random, because her setlist consists solely of music off 1989 or Red. Yes, Taylor has forsaken all things pre-Red -- minus a snippet of "Enchanted" -- effectively solidifying her status as a straight-up pop star. If we had the kind of power to get #JusticeForAllTooWell trending on Twitter, we would.
