If you park street side, you may want to move your car as the city tries to dig out from the winter pounding we've been receiving since December!

The problem has been that emergency vehicles, buses, garbage trucks, and cars in general have had a rough time navigating around many roads in the area due to the mountains of snow.

As the city employees make their rounds, they're asking citizens to remove cars from the streets before 8 a.m. on the scheduled days.

  • Thursday February 13th (8 a.m. to 2 p.m.) - Areas on the west side of Grand Rapids. This includes areas bordered by Lincoln Avenue NW, Walker/ Stocking Avenue NW, and I-196.
  • Friday February 14th (8 a.m. to 2 p.m.) - East Hills/ Eastown Area. This includes Diamond Avenue to Woodmere Avenue and Hermitage Street to Wealthy Street.
