After adding Harmony Hall on Grand Rapids' West Side in 2015, Harmony Brewing. Co. continues to grow.

MiBiz reports that Harmony Brewing plans to expand is Eastown location near the corner of Lake Drive and Wealthy Street.

The brewpub is looking to purchase the Subway restaurant next door and expand bar and restaurant service to the building.

Harmony Brewing co-owner Barry Van Dyke told MiBiz,

“We have been busting at the seams pretty much from day one in Eastown. This will allow us to continue doing all of the things that we’ve been really successful at with more elbow room for our customers and staff.”

Harmony Brewing plans to invest $800,000 in the project. The expansion would increase dining capacity, add parking spots, and allow for a second kitchen dedicated to carry-out and delivery pizza. It's estimated 35 full and part-time jobs will be added.

The Grand Rapids Planning Commission is expected to consider the project at a meeting June 8.
