GVSU Student Robbed Near On-Campus Apartments

Students at Grand Valley State University in Allendale are being told to exercise caution once again after an armed robbery outside an on-campus apartment.

A man reportedly approached a student on the sidewalk near Laker Village North around 11:20 p.m. Thursday, demanded money, and showed the victim a handgun.

The suspect then left heading westbound and police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The victim was not injured.

The suspect is being described as a black male, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, wearing a black or grey hooded sweatshirt.

Grand Valley State University sent an alert to students Thursday night regarding the armed robbery.
