You get an invitation to a wedding and you have every intention of going, so you RSVP. Then, last minute something comes up and you can't go. Should you be billed for the meal that was set aside for you?

It can be frustrating for the couple paying for the wedding, but this actual scenario happened in Minnesota.

The couple who intended on going to the wedding got a last minute call from their mother, saying something came up she couldn't watch the kids. Taking the kids to the wedding wasn't an option, as the invitation specifically said no children. So, the couple didn't go.

Fast forward a bit to this week when the couple got a bill from the happily married couple!

The bill, which included the cost of their meal, plus tax and service charge came to $75.90.

The message that came with the bill:

This cost reflects the amount paid by the bride and groom for meals that were RSVP'd for, reimbursement and explanation for no show, card, call or text would be appreciated.

The guests say they do not intend on paying the bill.

What do you think? Is that tacky? I mean, it is tacky to RSVP and not show up, but it's not like they didn't show up on purpose, life happened.
