I came across this a little while and it was just too sweet not to share. A Grand Rapids police officer helped out a button buck (a young male deer) on Wednesday night.

The GRPD posted a video of the rescue on their Facebook page. In the video, you see Officer Ryan Bruggink carrying a deer off of a softball field at Plaster Creek Family Park.

According to the Facebook posting, Bruggink is a relatively new member of the GRPD.

The deer had apparently become trapped on the field for an unknown amount of time. The officer tired it out enough for it to let him pick it up, and then helped it back to a wooded area.
