GRPD Investigating Possible Attempted Abduction

The Grand Rapids Police Department is investigating an incident that happened Monday afternoon near the intersection of Alpine Avenue and Sylvia Street NW.

WOOD-TV 8 reports a 13-year-old boy and 10-year-old girl were walking their dogs near the intersection just after 2 p.m. when a man pulled into a parking lot near them.

The children told police the man asked them questions and then told them to get into his white pickup.

The pickup police are looking for is an older model, white, dirty, with rust along the bottom. The children say the man was white, somewhere between 55 and 65, white hair, receding hairline, white spots on his face and a deep voice.
