Grandwich Competition Returns For Its Fourth Year – Begins Tuesday

The Grandwich sandwich competition has returned for the fourth year in Grand Rapids, and it kicks off today!

The annual sandwich competition kicks off today (July 8) and goes through July 27. As always, the public is invited to try each of the thirty-two entries and vote for their favorite. Sandwich lovers can place their votes online after registering to vote.

The winner will be announced on August 1 at Rosa Parks Circle, and just like in the past, the public is invited to come out from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. that day to give a $5 donation and sample the top 10 sandwiches.

Local celebrities will sample the top 10 sandwiches, chosen by the public, and decide on the final winner. Donations will go to Kid’s Food Basket.

This year's participating restaurants are: A Moveable Feast, Bagger Dave's, Birch Lodge, Buffalo Wild Wings, Bull's Head Tavern, CitySen Lounge In CityFlats Hotel, Cottage Bar, Fat Johnny's Cheesecake Co., Flanagan's Irish Pub, Flat Lander's, Founders Brewing Company, Grand Rapids Brewing Company, Grand Woods Lounge, HopCat, J. Gardella's, McFadden's Restaurant and Saloon, Osteria Rossa, Peppino's Sports Grille, Rak Thai, Reserve Wine & Food, Rowster New American Coffee, Sanchez, six.one.six., Skywalk Deli, SpeakEZ Lounge, Stella's Lounge, Sweet Mellisa's, Taco Bar Company, Terra GR, The B.O.B., The Bistro at Courtyard By Marriott, and The Cheshire Grill.
