Buzzfeed doesn't go into a lot of detail about what makes GR great, simply saying,

Located on the Grand River about 25 miles from Lake Michigan, Grand Rapids houses some awesome architecture. It’s a great place to be in the winter for ice skating or the summer for fishing.

While all of those things are 100% true, Grand Rapids has a lot more to offer to anyone looking to move to the area. We have great museums, are within driving distance to some of the country's most beautiful beaches, and we're a great city to raise a family!
