Grand Rapids Is Named The 5th Most Hipster City In The United States

It's official!  Grand Rapids is the Hipster capital of the Midwest!

The dictionary defines a Hipster as "A person who follows the latest trends and fashions, especially those regarded as being outside the cultural mainstream."  But if you ask a hipster they will probably deny following any trends.

In a recent poll by Infogroup, Grand Rapids was determined to be the "5th Most Hipster City In The United States".  The poll was based on the amount of breweries, record stores, thrift shops, tattoo parlors, live entertainment venues, bicycle dealers and coffee shops per capita.  Grand Rapids is the only city in the Midwest in the top 10, so that makes us officially the Hipster Capital of the Midwest!
