Grand Rapids Founder’s Fest 2011

So I've lived in Grand Rapids for years now and one thing I've never done is gone to Founder's Fest. It's Saturday, June 18th at Founder's Brewing Co., at 235 Grandville Ave, downtown GR. They close off the streets around Founder's for maximum awesomeness. I've been told by many it's definitely something to check out, so I decided to get the scoop on it. It's a celebration of beer (duh) and music-- which I didn't really know about. Here's the line up:

4:15pm STEPPIN’ IN IT
5:15pm FBC ALL-STARS
6:15pm THE RAGBIRDS
7:15pm TERRAPIN FLYER with MELVIN SEALS
8:15pm RUBBLEBUCKET
9:30pm GALACTIC

Founders' website promises the following beers, plus a few surprises:

* Centennial IPA
* Devil Dancer
* Red’s Rye PA
* Pale Ale
* Founders Fest Wheat
* Backwoods Bastard
* Dirty Bastard
* Cerise
* All Day IPA
* Blushing Monk

Food vendors like Pita House and The Cottage Bar will be on site to help soak up some of that delicious beer.

The good times start at 3pm. Tickets are $20 the day of.  If you fan of beer, good music, and hanging out outside in the summer time, it's a safe bet to say you'd enjoy Founders Fest.
