Grand Rapids Elementary School Closed Due To Police Standoff

Breton Downs Elementary School in East Grand Rapids has been closed this morning due to a police standoff on Breton Avenue between Burton and Hall Street SE.

According to our friends at WZZM-13 a suicidal man has barricaded himself inside of a home, and the school has been shut down as a precautionary measure.

Police crews are on the scene and we will have more information for you as it becomes available.
