In the midst of Grand Rapids celebrating the life and service of former first lady Betty Ford ... local families are grieving the loss of their loved ones in a mass murder that happened on the city's northeast side last week.

Funerals for three victims were quietly held yesterday -- four others will be laid to rest tomorrow.

To start working through this tragedy, community leaders met with members of Creston neighborhood last night at Second Congregational United Church of Christ.

There were tears and heartfelt dialogue given by residents, Grand Rapids Mayor George Heartwell and Police Chief Kevin Belk who was met by a standing ovation.  For the full story from WZZM 13, click here.
