An "art" display in Grand Haven is raising some eyebrows this week. Ken David, a Grand Haven resident has put up what he calls a political display in his yard. The display, which features lawn chairs hanging from trees. He has signs hanging next to his door that say things like "Nov 2012 Liberty Begins", "Take back our country in November" and "Take back your government".

While David calls the display a political statement, many who have seen is see it as blatant racism. The empty chairs seem to be in reference to Clint Eastwood's speech at the Republican National Convention in which he used an empty chair to represent President Barack Obama.

The Grand Haven Tribune is reporting that the Lakeshore Ethnic Diversity Alliance will be hosting a Community Conversation about the piece on Thursday, October 4th from 7 until 9p.m. They encourage community members to come out and have an open and civil conversation about the display.

If you don't know exactly what this is in reference to, watch the video below.
