Girl Scout Cookies are my number one junk food nemesis. Partially because they are hocked by adorable little girls sitting outside of various local stores in the spring and partially because they are so delicious (and I remember selling them as a kid). But now, the Girl Scouts are trying to sneak healthy things into my cookies?!? This will not stand!

Yes, you read that right. The Girl Scouts are adding healthy things to their latest cookie flavor. Along with your Tagalogs, Samoas, and Thin Mints, you will now be able to purchase their latest concoction, Mango Creme. They're basically Oreos, but instead of the delicious cream filling you're used to, it comes with a mango-flavored cream center. And, instead of the delicious chocolate cookie outside, you get coconut sandwich cookies. Now, I'm going to go right ahead and say that these don't sound all that appealing to me. In fact, nothing with an artificial mango flavor involved sounds all that appealing to me.

But, where does the healthy part come in? Well, the new cookie features Nutrifusion™, which is a high fructose corn syrup substitute, made of palm oil and whole food concentrates. Which doesn't sound all that appealing either.

The cookies are stuffed with Vitamin B1, A, C, D, E and B6, which I suppose is good. I mean, you can get those same vitamins by eating cranberries, pomegranates, oranges, grapes, and strawberries. But, who needs those when you can eat processed chemicals in cookie form? Win-win!
