Girl Banned From School For Shaving Her Head [Video]

Spoiler: The 9-year-old shaved her head to show support to her 11-year-old friend who is fighting cancer.

This is happening nowhere near here, but it hits home. How? Most people reading this went to school, have kids in school, or know someone who has had cancer.

The school in question is in Colorado and the 9-year-old, Kamryn, shaved her head to support her friend, Delaney, who is fighting neuroblastoma.

So why did the school ban the girl? Because apparently it's against the dress code to shave your head at Caprock Academy.

Catherine Norton Breman, president and Chair of the academy's board of directors, told 9News.com the dress code "was created to promote safety, uniformity, and a non-distracting environment for the school's students. Under this policy, shaved heads are not permitted."

After this story went public the girl was allowed back in class.
